I think these are a good example of why I’d rather buy one well-designed everyday piece than five basic ones. At first glance they're just small huggie hoops, but the tapered profile, flowing ridges, close fit and hinged closure all make them feel much more intentional. They're still the kind of earrings I can wear every day, just with more thought put into the design.
What I like about these is that the design doesn't rely on being big. They're only 15 x 14mm, but the tapered width and raised ridges give them enough visual interest that they don't disappear on the ear. That's harder to get right than it sounds.
I've been wearing the gold ones with a really thin gold chain and a tiny second-piercing stud. The different textures actually work really well together. The hoop has enough detail on its own that I don't need to add much else.
The rounded edges are a small detail, but I appreciate them. The earrings have this structured, ridged shape, but they don't feel sharp or overly architectural against the ear. They look more organic because of that.
I took these on a trip and they were basically the only hoops I packed. They’re small, lightweight, and don't have a long dangling part that catches on clothes or hair. The textured design also meant I didn't need to bring much other jewelry.
